I was my first 50 over 50 client!

What's the best way for me to kick-off the 50 OVER 50 campaign? Do it myself of course. I know how my clients feel; I was nervous, felt like I wanted to lose 10 pounds first and didn't like any of my outfits. Then I told myself the same thing I'd tell a client ... there will never be a perfect time, never a day better than today. I can easily hide some extra pounds with lighting and posing, my outfits will be great and oh by the way, you're beautiful.  You will rock this!  

Still a little nervous, I have to admit I was looking forward to the hair and makeup.  I mean a complete makeover?! Fake lashes?? Bring it on. On the other hand, I have never liked the makeup that anyone has done for me, in fact I did my own makeup at my wedding, so I was skeptical. Well, the pampering was wonderful and it helped me to remember that my age hasn't made me less beautiful, in fact, it has made me more beautiful.  I gave myself over to Krystal (you will love Krystal), and she made me gorgeous! I wanted a more natural look, so I was thrilled that I looked beautiful, but still like me. 

I chose from among the gorgeous dresses and gowns in my photographer's wardrobe and settled on a few of my favorites. I don't really like to show off my arms, but decided to go with the sleeveless gown, since I know what I can do in post processing.  It's just a little bit of magic :) I have faux fur wraps as well as sequined wraps, but I've always been a sucker for fur, so that was it!

I gave myself the same posing instruction I'd give anyone else. Even though I was doing it myself, it was so much fun! I actually want to do it again now.  As a photographer I'm pretty picky about my own photos, but I have to say that I loved them! Between the makeup, the hair, the wardrobe and the gorgeous lighting, this was the first time I was happy to share my images with the world. I was even brave enough to share my "before" photo, because ya know what? I am who I am and this shoot helped me to feel amazing about myself.

Now I can honestly share with my clients that I know how they feel before the session and I know how much they'll love the experience and their images. I can't wait to work with you!
