Gone are the days of boring senior photoshoots. Today's seniors want a shoot that's fun & exciting, that captures their personalities & interests. Your photographer should get to know you - who you are, what you enjoy, what you want to your images to say and what you want the day of your photoshoot to look like. Do you want a glamorous in-studio shoot, or an edgy downtown shoot, or a cowboy boots and sunflower fields shoot? Do you want the full "Model for a Day" experience where you travel to multiple locations both indoor and outdoor, with multiple wardrobe changes that capture all the unique sides of you? As you consider your options, here are a few fun ideas you might like:
1) Find a graffiti wall in your city and plan to shoot there during non-busy hours. We shoot these in Baltimore and Arlington.
2) Go back to your school and take advantage of the bleachers, chain link fencing, brick walls, the entrance, etc.
3) Consider your home - do you love your pool or a spot on the front porch? Do you want to include your pet(s)? Your family?
4) Visit a quaint town in your area ( I love Historic Ellicott City, MD) for great shots on stone walls, narrow stairways, wrought iron fencing, gardens, etc.
5) Who doesn't love a wooden bridge over a stream? I have one I use where there aren't a lot of people and the light is just heavenly! The location is my secret :)
6) Do you love the beach? This is a great spot for images and there are some great ones in Maryland and Virginia.
7) Are you willing to hike into a location to be photographed at a waterfall? Do you want to be really adventurous and get in the water? This all makes for amazing images you will never forget!
8) Go downtown for an edgy, hip, urban vibe. There are so many great options for a high fashion look!
This is your day, so choose a photographer whose work you love and who you connect with. It's your day, so enjoy it to the fullest!
